I ordered a new m15x a few weeks ago and because I split payment it hung in pending for 5 extra days. I notified Dell that my order was pending for an extraordinary amount of time and within 24 hours of my email to them I received an update with order number, customer number, etc. Original delivery was to be 10/27 when I placed the order and when I finally got confirmation the delivery went to 10/30. I received two phone calls from Dell Customer Support to make sure my situation had cleared up and they also expedited my order and it went back to 10/27. I since found out about the Tactx headset promo and I emailed the customer support agent that had called me and asked if it could be added. I have received a phone call and another email stating that my request had been forwarded to a manager for resolution. We will see how it all pans out but so far I'm impressed with the communication.
Maybe I'm just lucky.

most people only post bad experiences with costumer service, good to hear something positive.
Congrats on your new lappy -
my call to tech support was extremely helpful - at least after i got fed up with the dell side and called the support number on the alienware website - the accent was hard to understand and he and she ( i got transfered twice ) couldn't understand me!
the call to alienware was a breeze. the guy was helpful and kept emailing me about the status of my situation all day. the call started at 7:30 AM and his final email to me to remedy my situation ended at 1:00AM the next day! talk about dedication.
now if i had to keep my call with india i'd be posting a horror story too, but luckily the alienware side kept my call in north america - he did have a spanish accent but we had no communication problems. -
I had a very positive experience with Alienware customer service, when my new M15x shipped with a studdering issue while on battery. I gave them my email and they actually got back with me extremely fast and have kept me updated without the need to bug them at all. They actually have emailed me everyday since my problem started and this is exactly the opposite of what some people have said about Dell. My advice is if you get an AW try to skip calling dell and get up with the people in the AW division directly. They seem to care about their customers.
Good Customer Service experience
