Good US Rep on Facebook!

We are trying to get 20-25% discount for group purchase from a rep on facebook when the 5870's are available in CF... (each person will pay seperately!) msg in this thread if you are interested in this!

Im not saying we will get 20-25% off im asking him if this is possible since it would be a large volume of sale through a single rep. If Dell reps are commission based it may be more persuasive if we all use one rep rather than seperate! If he gets commission on each sale then he just made 20 computer sales rather than each of us using a seperate rep.

im going to see if this guy would give us a better discount if we got enough members to purchase through him when the 5870's CF become available... like if we had 10 members who wanted an m17x, maybe he can hook all of us up with a better deal! Who is with me?!

 

I'm already getting the epp discount, so there's probably nothing he can do for me. However, I'm open to the idea if he can.

 

the more people that order probably the better deal we can get... this is what small companies do... if you order 10+ computers the usually cut you a better discount due to bulk sale.

 

Im going to see if we get at least 10 people to purchase from him if he would offer each of us 25% off the purchase price which would be better than just the 10% EPP

 

I'm open as well. I've also got an EPP, plus the $50 off the mailing list, plus the 3% coupon from this site. If he can beat that, awesome. I'm maxing out the machine too, so it's a big order, let him know.

Im sure he will be... if I was a rep and I heard of a potential sale of 10+ computers I would be excited... they work on commission after all. I dont think asking 25% off an order that big is to much to ask of them. 25% would definately beat your 13% plus $50. In the AW/Deals from dell thread i think the majority were getting 18% off.

 

What 3% coupon from this site? Do you have the code and is it for a particular timeframe? I'm assuming it stacks on the epp discount. TIA.

 

Sorry, that was 5% discount from this site, just click, coupons, and dell, and the code is there. I assumed they all stack together. I might be wrong though

 

Well we have 5 people already including myself... i bet we could get alot of people on board with this. Ive messaged him about it and am awaiting his response

 

If you can get 25% off, I think you will get more than 10 people.

 

sad i am in AU. well, i think for now, the valuable question is when will 5870CF become available, more than the discount of the machine.

 

If I get more than 10 I may see if he will give us even more % off... say 28-30% for 20 orders! or at least throw in NBD shipping

 

While we are waiting though if we can organize a group of people willing to puchase we may all end up getting an extra reward the day they are released! .... to bad your in AU! Maybe you guys that live outside the US can organize something similar!

I just amended my signature to be the machine I spec'd out to get. I figure we should all do that, so the sales guy knows what we want by looking at our sigs, and can figure in what kind of discount he can provide.

Yep, I'm on board as well if he can beat the EPP discounts. But let's not jump the gun since it is still unclear what's going on with the release of 5870CF. Buy the time they release the CF, he might not even be a Dell rep anymiore.

i'm all for it as long as its at least a 25% discount, I get an alienware beenie cap, and it isn't a hassle to do.
the question is tho how do we work it do we all pay indivually like normally or would we pay one person who pays dell? cause i'd rather stay on the safe side and pay separately

Well, I would think they can put us under a group purchase (ie Notebookreview forum) and bill each member seprately. At least that would be the plan. when he responds about if he can do the discount all ask him how the billing arangement could be aranged so that we can all be billed seprate. Since the CF has not been released yet we have time to arrange it

That is right of course! The Dell rep (which I was one 8 years ago) would do best in this case by getting some discount codes for all involved here. EG: 30 codes for a 25% off with a time expire for it 2weeks or so.

I told you guys it was a good idea! If this works out we will make one happy dell rep! I just want everyone to benefit too!

 

We can also try to pull in some more people, if the discount will be proportional to everyone ordering, it will do us better to recruit as much as we can.

 

The more we have, the more power we will have to get a good discount!

im sure you aussies could get together and purchase. You should have austrailian reps! Most countries dell is sold in have their own representatives.

He messaged me this morning from a question I asked him yesterday. he usually messages on facebook early AM or later PM... probably due to him being at work. I expect to hear from him either tonight or tomorrow AM. No rush anyways since CF is not out yet. In the meantime we can gather our #'s!
