    nVidia 280M GTx SLi
    4Gb of Ocz Ram@1333mhz
    250GB HDD@7200RPM


    could i take the 280 out and swap with a pair of 4870s? or 3870s?

    The price of 4870s should be similar to 3870s or even lower. Check the prices with your resellers, you will be surprised.
