    Hi guys

As the title says, I have two 500GB drives in a raid 0 config, and they sometime stop and locks the screen for 1-2 seconds when i run any kind of application. This is becoming extremely annoying, especially when im playing games, because it means i naturally get fragged when the screen freeze for an entire second or two.

Also, the disks make a loud klick when this occurs, something that i doubt is healthy in the long run.

In another thread ( http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=432466) the OP wish to replace what he suspect is a faulty drive (it might be), but another user advice against using raid 0 all together.

I have run an analasys and a defrag, but the windows standard tools havent found any problems.

Should I complain to Alienware to get a new drive or should i just disable raid?

Download Hd tune and check health tab to see if anything is wrong with your hdd's.

    Hi ID4,
I came across this problem before. What i did was i got HDDScan(freeware) and disabled the AAM in the IDE features. Solved the problem.

Coyninja, I havent run your program yet to disable the setting from there, because I went into device manager-> nForce sata controller -> properties, and it says that AAM is already disabled.
