Hey, Ppl!!
I'm new at the forum, and this is my sad story, and the reasons why I am asking you for help, in this desperate way...
See, I bought this second-hand Area 51 m9750 lap, and I had so many, many problems 'cause I didn't bought it from the owner... So, I don't have enough info about it. However, I've actually made a downgrade to XP Pro 64, and need some help with software and drivers I didn't find anywhere!
Thank to all of you, for the sticky with almost all drivers... but I need your help to find:
Slimtype DVD C DS24CZP
Drivers for all the Mobo (Mobile Intel CALISTOGA PM i945PM North Bridge)
BisonCam, Software
I need it for Win2003/XP 64 bits, and I really will appreciate if you can help me with this!!! Really need it!!!
Also, need help installing Command Center, and all other software ya know, can help me to get the better performance of this machine!!
REALLY REALLY need it so much! I have weeks working in this, and i won't be doing this, if I don't gave it a lot of tries... So, please, Owners of M9750, help me... at least, tell me where I can get it, I began you!!

Thanks so much in advance.

We will help you the best we can, but the sticky thread is still your best bet. I run WinXP 64 bit as well so I know your pain. The truth is that some of the drivers simply wont be there for this OS.
My advice, especially for the Mobo drivers, is to go back to the sticky thread, go to the website via the link it gives for the mobo drivers, and download that package. It will be for all OS types, not just Vista. Do the same for the other drivers you are missing. Many Vista x64 drivers for peripherals like the web cam will use the same driver for XP 64 bit.
So there you go. Download everything you find. Try them all out.Just make sure you have a restore point. Otherwise, welcome to the group of happy m9750 owners!

XP 64-bit was an unstable and horribly supported OS, why not just get Win 7 and use vista drivers? That machine can handle it.
And for the most part, Vista 64 drivers will NOT work for XP 64 -
I second running 7 on it, NO issues at all. grab the public beta and use it till the fall release

Thanks alot from the info... I've checked up for the drivers on the sticky already... MoBo drivers resolved. Thanks alot! ^^
Otherwise, Bisoncamera, Media Reader, Keypad and the Control Center still have issues... Any ideas where to get it for XP 64 pro? The Vista 64 Control Center, doesn't run... Should I try 32-bit XP?
Well... In fact, I'm installing XP until Windows 7 release... And Vista.. well, I've heard so much 'bout drivers problems in Vista and all the permissions thing... ¬¬... Prefer so much wait to 7...
However, I'm glad the lacks are not so several.. And thanks a lot for your help and disposition!
C ya here, guys!

Anyone 'bout the Bisoncam, Media Reader, etc... ?
Anyone? -
Ok, ok... I'm giving in... Do you reccomend Win Vista 32 or 64, in driver resources issues?

All the drivers you'll need for either version are in the sticky at the top of this forum. After reading this: http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/alienware-area-51-m9750/4505-3121_7-32492472.html?tag=api&subj=re
You're probably better off with the 32-bit version of Vista. Maybe Rob41 can shed a better light on it though.
