    Hi.
I just ordered my M15x 2 days ago.
It says my operating system is windows 7 ultimate.
What is windows 7? I only know windows xp and vista.
Is it better than those 2 mentioned above?
Also, I got 920XM for it. I chose the most expensive. Not sure about difference.
    Is it good?
Will I be able to run facebook applications such as farmville and games such as warcraft smoothly? I will occasionally let my daughter play on it.
    Sorry I dont know much.

    Hi,

Windows 7 is the new iteration of Microsofts Operating system. It is much better than Vista.

Well you could have ran facebook applications on a netbook. But if I were you, You don't need to pay the extra $$$ for 8 GB RAM unless your actually going to use that RAM. You won't benefit from it at all. Most people don't need more then 4GB. Windows 7 is much better in my opinion then Vista. It's just as easy to use as well. Looks like you got a good setup. Unless your using a lot of processor intense applications, you could suffice with a less expensive processor. Then again I don't know much about the i7. But any processor with run facebook apps. Unless you don't need to save the money. Finally patience. No need to bump your thread every 2min. ;) Welcome to the forum and I hope you enjoy your new toy

Windows & manages System memory better than vista, with alot of other fixes, both in aesthetics and programing. It's is what vista should of been, and a much smoother experience.

The 920 isn't going to effect gaming as much as it will multitasking, though considering most games are not designed for quad core yet, they will only use dual core, so basically instead of running 4 cores @ 2Ghz, you wil only get 2 cores @ 2Ghz, making the 920 preferable in my choice, but probably not worth the extra 600 bucks, especially when you will not noticed the slightest bit of distance.

As for the games mentioned, My nephew has a junk laptop that runs wow just fine, and I have a 1983 calculator that could run farm town. :)

So you should be fine. Congrats on your order.

your unit looks to be about as fully equipped as an M15 can get: it will be awesome and you have no problems with any of the questions you posed.
