To sum this up, do I really have to use all 3 programs together to see an OSD of GPU/CPU temperature and clocks? FPS is showm by GeForce Experience for me.
Because I have just tried HWinfo+RTSS and that worked fine without AB or Precision.

If you want FPS to be shown when using HWiNFO64 + RTSS, make sure to turn on 'show own statistics' in RTSS. No need for GFE.

There is a need for GFE :) how else can you catch cheater and get proofs for mods saving backgound recorded video?) Besides I like GFE's look of FPS numbers way more than any other (FRAPS or RTSS).

Sorry for the copy/paste, but I didn't want my question getting lost. Such is my luck to have posted the last comment on the previous page before a new page was created...

    1. You can't change it in AB, but if you use the RTSS FPS counter instead (turn on 'show own statistics'), it'll add an FPS sensor to HWiNFO64 and you should be able to rename it there. Although FPS: 60 FPS is redundant IMO, [API]: 60 FPS is more useful.

    2. No idea why the info is not showing as I've no experience with AMD CPUs. Make sure you didn't accidentally disable those sensor readings in HWiNFO64. You should post in the HWiNFO and AB/RTSS forums as these are frequented by Mumak and Unwinder respectively.

    3. You can change the position of the OSD at the bottom-right of RTSS (the tool that looks like a monitor).

can you get HWinfo64 or even RTSS to so the rendering API like D3Dxx or OGL (openGL)? cos precision x does this and i think it is helpful to show the context of the game's performance by showing the name of the API.

I think it's AB and EPX only.

oh ok, that's what i am currently doing atm, using EPX to display the graphics API and the fps with all other stats delivered by HWInfo64.

Are you using the installed version or the portable version of HWiNFO64? I only use the portable version.

Please post a screen shot of the problem you are trying to fix. Maybe I am not understanding what you need help with.

Sorry to bother anyone, but I'm looking for the step by step install for the msi afterburner with the on screen display, maybe rivatuner? I believe it was posted by Mr. Fox as a sticky. It must be pretty old by now. I did search around before posting, came up empty. Thanks for the help

Thanks for the reply. I followed the instructions, some of the products are newer versions, however I can't get anything to show on the screen. I must be missing something, I've looked it all over. I did have this working couple of years ago. I'll go back over it.

Can you please post a screen shot of RTSS opened on your desktop? It may be RTSS that is not configured properly.

BTW, I use HWiNFO64 for data output now rather than MSI AB. It does a much better job.

Hwinfo with RTSS works great. Thanks Mr. Fox.

But toggle to show and hide doesn't seems to work.

Hmm, not sure what to tell you on that. I have never even once attempted to toggle it. I either use it or I don't, depending on my mood. It's rare that I turn it off.

Maybe that is a feature made into MSI AB. If so, that would explain why. You are not using MSI AB for OSD. I don't see it as an option in RTSS and I don't remember seeing that anywhere in HWiNFO64 options. I know EVGA Precision X has that feature.

Roughly the same issue here. I can't get the RTSS OSD to work, tried different toggle keys. Weird.

Actually MSI AB is used for RTSS. Not by me though.
If you can't get RTSS to work then you have another issue. Wrog set up perhaps.

Look at this... sorry for the crappy phone video, but I was just looking for a quick way to demo this. It's called iDisplay and you can use an Android phone or tablet as a wireless monitor to display hardware monitoring apps like HWiNFO64 while gaming or benching. It works as an extended desktop, LOL.

It has bad reviews on the Google Play store, but I often take them with a grain of salt. That can be a reflection of user incompetence more than anything else. So far, seems to work fine for me using Windows 7 and Android. Can't speak to what it does with iOS.

MSI Afteburner has also had an Android and iOS app for a few years now that lets you OC and monitor from your phone/tablet

Yes, I used to use that. In fact, it is mentioned on the first page of this thread.

I just discovered even the audio outputs to my Android phone, LOL. That's too funny. There is a momentary delay with the audio using WiFi, which is probably to be expected. Everything I have tested streaming from PC over WiFi always has a slight delay (WiDi, Chromecast, etc.). I have not tested using USB yet. It's cool that the audio works as well. Put the phone behind you and you have instant wireless "surround sound" LOL. [IMG]

The laptop volume and phone volume work independently. You can turn either one down and the other still works. I have Windows Media Player going on the phone with the speaker volume at zero on the laptop.

I might have actually finally discovered a decent use for a crappy Android 8 or 10-inch tablet. If it turns out to be a stable product, that would be a lot better than a tiny phone screen for hardware monitoring.
