Has anyone received their M17's lately?

I ordered mine on the 16th and received it on the 25th!

 

Yes, i have been in contact with them several times. Today though is the first time I asked for at least a supervisor to review my problem, they asked me to call again tomorrow so they could have time to find out exactly what is taking so long

 

According to AW, mine should enter production sometime mid-week. If I receive mine, before yours, there's definitely something fishy going on.

...well, after calling twice and speaking to three people, I finally have a new estimated ship date of jan 9....or 13. I'm not sure if it's worth all of this, but i'll give it another week.

 

I have received my order as of yesterday and as a whole I'm satisfied.

I did have issues that were unresolved for the most part (still not fixed but was given another word of assurance and an extension number that it will be fixed in the next couple of days) but I do have to say that it is worth it. I'm not saying you should have to go through all this stuff just to receive what you are entitled to but things never seem as bad once you install your favorite game and max out the settings. AW should really consider merging their billing and support with Dell. For the most part that would resolve 90% of AW's problems. Well, from my experiences at least.

I ordered my M17 on the 15th of Dec. and I received it on the 6th of Jan. They even used "over-night" shipping through FedEx with no extra cost. Well it was free to begin with.

I can assure you the laptop is great and it is built good... so far.

 

i ordered the 23 and i wen into phase 7 today ..... a email form them said they encountered a problem on the assembly line lol well hope it gets here

 

I ordered mine on the 31st. Shipped yesterday. Say's it'll be delivered on the 10th. Seems pretty quick.

 

btw.. I called them on 1/5/09 and wanted to get the illuminated keyboard and the women said that part was backordered. So that might be holding up some orders.

 

Mine is slated for delivery for today.

I'm going to be removing their ram, installing my own. Checking the GPU's to make sure there's no tape over them, then booting the bad boy up so I can start downloading the Vista updates. Oh the joys!

 

It would be nice if mine would come today or tomorrow. I had it sent to my work addresss and of course we're not open on saturday! I have to figure out how to get it in my hot little hands on saturday.

It's says "fedex home delivery" which i dont think i can intercept the package at a distribution center. I think they have to make one delivery attempt before you can pick up at a hub. I dunno.. CRAP!

 

you are so lucky mine took 20 days and yours goes in 7 days lucky you. I just hope i get to use it ...im saposed to wait till the 22 to open for my b day but ... i dunno if i can

 

I keep clicking refresh, but mine's still on the truck for delivery. Fortunately, I've got someone there to sign for it. They're as anxiously awaiting it as I am, because then I stop pestering them about waiting for the machine

 

ive sent like 8 emails there was 2 delays and other crappy excuses there getting angry to

 

s, mine just went from phase 7 to phase 6 today...sigh, irish luck strikes again!

 

mine keeps shifting from phase 1 to 2 and back...I phoned and they said it was actually in phase 3, should ship on 17...the phase game blows

 

Mine's doing the same thing with Phase 1 & 2. They're telling me January 14th, but who knows.

 

Laptop #2 has arrived. Toying with things right now. Getting Windows updates as I type this, then going to work on updating drivers, then doing a 3dMark 06 test.

 

Things are going well so far. Looks like a dead pixel on the display of this one, but I'm not going to complain too loudly because the location's not too bad. I tried doing the OSD updated thinking that might be the cause, but no luck.

How did you get 120 fps in Dalaran ? My average is like 50

 

I'm not complaining! Temperatures on this unit are running pretty good too. Highest I've gotten to is 78 while gaming with full settings on WoW. I know it's not the most graphically challenging game, but it's still pretty sweet

I also haven't upgraded to E-Wrecked's drivers. Will I notice a huge increase with that?

 

Not really, performance should be more or less the same, but it will allow you to use other resolutions than the native one.

 

Then I'm not really going to bother, because I only use one resolution anyway when I'm gaming.

What settings are you using ?

 

Got the shadow turned down and the distance view turned down a bit. I'm also on a fairly low population server, so I'm sure that's got a lot to do with it.
