    Hi there, im having trouble playing games like mirrors edge, i have a ati 3870 dual crossfire with quad. Anyone having the same problem? COD4 seems to be running fine, also can anyone refer me to any driver links? also would modded drivers be worth doing?

    Im a newbie to all these things, all help will be appreciated.

    By the way my ati catalyst version is 2008.1209.2131.38627 and my Driver Packaging Version is 8.57-081209a-075112C. Not sure if that will be any help, I just recieved my M17 recently, if anyone can refer to latest drivers or help me in any way that be great and thanks.

    Could you describe what kind of problems you're experiencing? Error message? poor performance or such?

    These drivers from E-wrecked will certainly help. Follow the procedure carefully to be sure the install goes through properly.

    If you're dealing with slowdowns and stuttering during the game, there's a topic 56 pages long on the front page dealing with that problem and the fixes that "die-hard" forumers are coming up with.

    Read up on the last few pages of that thread and the first post if symptoms are similar.

    Yeah, you might be having an overheating issue with the quad. There is a thread about it right down the alley. :p

    And there are lots of drivers on www.guru3d.com

    no doesn't fit the bill the quads have micro stuttering

    Yeah im having poor performance in games, i have a Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q9000 @ 2.00GHz, iv'e actually installed the modded driver from e-wreck it has made an improvement, but after i installed the modded driver i had to update the display drivers through device manager as it did not recognise the display drivers after i installed the mod, was it is neccessary to update through device manager? i followed e-wrecks step by step process.... but mirrors edge still has gaming issues as Mr.Moo has mentioned micro stuttering.

    I will look at other threads and find a solution, but if any of you guys can refer me to threads that be great too. And that is sooooo true alienware are retarded with their drivers :-(
