heatsinks are almost always made from copper. as for thermal paste Arctic Silver 5 or Zalman STG.
-
I post a picture, i dont believe, thas the marked parts above your post, its copper...
-
as whizzo said, most will be copper where the contact is made (they may be coated with other metals) and then fins and such can then be aluminum.
-
You both mean, i can try the Liquid Pro?
Have someone try this? This Liquid isnt really cheap here in Germany.. -
the inormation in the "manual" for how to apply says only use copper heatsinks and coolers.
you will then need to make sure any surface to make contact with the cpu is copper in color and copper only. (no coatings or differnt colors) -
das sind alu-stücke, aber die halten nur die kupfer-röhre darunter fest. nur der kupfer hat kontakt mit dem chip.
für was willst du das liquid zeugs kaufen? -
Hmm , really bad
... than must buy again the Artiv Silver... Dont want to damage something..
Das Liquid Zeug habe ich schon geholt. Habe es erst mit der Aluminium Fläche gewusst, als ich mir die Anleitung durchgelesen habe.
Dieses Flüssigmetall soll gute Eigenschaften besitzen. Viel besser Wärme-Leitfähigkeit als alle anderen..
Nur war mir nicht sicher, ob das Aluminium ist, oder nur Kupfer, was so aussieht wie Aluminium..
PS:Hey hier gibts auch deutschen Support? -
habe = have
mit = with
ich = I
es = it
gibts = give
hier = sir/mister/formal "you"
gute = good
how bad did i do? -
"sir" is "herr", not "hier". "hier" means "here". and "gute" is conjugated, the standard form is "gut". also, "have" is "haben" if you want the infinitive. "gibts" means "is there" in a question, "give" means "geben".
just a few pointers -
Hmm... good
Hmm...gut !
But:
Hier = here
du = you -
Ok whizzo
I dont should try this Liquid and buy Arctiv Silver?
Your Choice? -
never heard of the liquid pro stuff. the safe bet in my opinion would be either Arctic Silver 5 or Zalman STG-1 (the latter if you're not very experienced with thermal greases, it is very easy to apply).
-
id go with the arctic silver...it is proven and well worth it.
btw...my favorite word in german: Der Kugelschriber (not sure if i spelled it right though...just like the long word for what it is...)
and thx for the pointers whizzo...and hoshie...i am so far from when i used to know german...ive lost it since i never speak it anymore... -
Thanx for the answers..
Danke für die Antworten..
Wish a good day!
Wünsche noch einen schönen Tag!

this posting made my day both of you....

local dialects abbreviate "Kugelschreiber" differently.
-
But, must go to bed, its late, and my Girlfriend is tired
Gehe mit meiner Perle ins Bett und lass es krachen LOL -
-
Ahhh...
Wazzzzzzzzzzup? -

-
LOL. er hats verstanden!
:laugh:
Und danke nochmal für die Hilfe! -
Oh...I think it is because "wiedisen" is the short form for "aufwiedersehen", which means "until we see each other again"
I took German all four years in high school, yet I forgot half of it by the beginning of senior year in high school. Everyone in my class asked the teacher what every other word meant in a paragraph ON TESTS! lol. -
guten nacht
till tomorrow... -
No no,
"Gute Nacht", no "n"
But "Guten Morgen Jungs und Mädels, wünsche euch noch einen schönen Tag"
"Good morning Boys and Girls, wish you a good day!"?
PS: Maybe i change the Topic name in "German Lesson" LOL
PPS: But nice, to hear that some user learn German..
PPPS: I go to School to learn English again.. My English is not the best.. -
