    I got 4gb for my m5550 and when i put it in when my computer goes on desktop and usually crashes and resets. I also updated my BIOS but it still doesnt work still crashes and resets. :mad: :mad:

    1. Are you using the right RAM?
    2. Is the RAM properly seated in the slot?
    3. Did this problem occur even before the RAM change?

    And the 2gb works perfectly alone but when i put in the other 2gb it starts crashing

    Run a memory test on the 2gb by itself. Maybe that's causing the crashing. Maybe it's bad ram.

    yeah. have you tried both 2GB sticks separately?
