Help Me Please-M15x-Reformatted to windows 7 How to get alienware stuff back?

So ok, had my laptop a couple weeks now and it would come up with an error when trying to change the touchpad settings and wouldnt let me. So whatever I got a mouse anyways and everything else worked fine. I install the software for the alienware tactx mouse and it breaks the command center completely so I'm like ok I'll use the windows 7 cd it comes with to reformat it should fix it right?

Well nope, it's just like windows 7 doesnt have the cool alienware theme or the command center, so I get the resource dvd basicly all i needed to get was command center so I get it but the button above the keyboard to get to it doesnt work. Also know how it has all them icons in the bottom right? Well now theres only a few, so that means the bluetooth and stuff drivers arent on there I could download them.

In short how do I get it like how it came originally? I dont believe it came with a alienrespawn disk, maybe I over looked it but I think it only came with the windows 7 and the resource dvd.

edit: I still have the windows.old So maybe I can just rename that to windows and delete the windows and move the stuff to the right spot lol?

edit2: The cd says on the bottom " The SOftware included on this Recovery DVD-ROM was preinstalled on your hard drive at the factory and may only be used for backup and recovery of your alienware computer system." So shouldnt this mean it has everything that came on it originally?

 

So you did a fresh install of win 7?

just download all the drivers on dell support page. install all the driver but remember to install the command center last. I recommend not installing the touchpad driver and maybe even the free fall driver too. if you want all the wallpapers and stuff maybe google it, or search this furom in side topics.

 

Well I found the wall papers in windows.old, I found the theme file too but it doesnt work. I dont care about all the driveers of because everything is working fine.

I mostly just want the theme that comes with it, it's sort of dark you know? I cant find a download for it anywhere. but ok so download the command center last?

I don' think there were alienware themes , but just alienware wallpapers and avatars

 

did you reformat from the Respawn Partition or a respawn disc?

 

It was the windows 7 cd that came with it. How do I do it with the partition? I know it has it because it showed it when I put the cd in and booted from it and I had to choose hte partition.

Follow those directions to restore your system to factory settings.

Edit: Ok, more specificly I can get to the f8 menu and then select some system restore stuff so I goto that and it goes to a window that can do system restores and start up with cmd and stuff like that, but there is no where to get a reformat or anything like that.

O haha I see now my bad. It's just the window tops are transparent so with the alienware background I got a dark window top and thought it was a theme X.X It's all good now I just installed all the drivers, still though it'd be nice to have an alien respawn 2.0
