    Hi all nice forums you guy's got here :) Gonna be buying a Alienware M15x in the next month but i can't decide what processor to get
    as you can see there is not much difference in the price and it will be used mostley for gaming thanks in advance.

    Mostly gaming; the i5 should work fine.

    The i5 would suffice, but given the very small difference in price, I would go for the 720.

    i7 720 is more future proof, and I doubt you would see much of any benefits in gaming in the i5. Dont forget the i7 will turbo boost almost up to the i5 speeds.

    rsgeiger has it right. The i7 920 will actually turbo two cores up to 2.6GHz and shut the other two off, under a situation where two cores are heavily loaded and the other two aren't.
