    lookin @ a mx11 rx2 vs mx15

the mx11 rx2 comes with an ssd and 100gb hdd. the 250gb was moved gt335m w i5-520um. comes with sleeve, stand, mouse, BT

the mx15 just has a standard hdd and comes with a 5850. i5-520M no ssd 500gb hdd (need a sleeve) stand meh

does anyone know which to choose? their about around the same price but that doesn't matter just want to know which will run better.

Obviously the M15x will run better..

I think I'm right in saying that even if you max out every option in the M11x it is still not as good as the base model M15x.

Bottom line: Get the M15x if you don't really plan on travelling with it.

IMO the m15 will run faster it has a faster GPU and CPU

the m11x does not have a internal CD ROM either

M15x. The cpu you listed for the M11x is incorrect. Highest cpu possible for the M11x is the i7-640UM which is much slower than the i5-520m. M15x is more powerful. Only downfall is that it's larger than the M11x. Everything else, M15x can exceed the M11x easily.

It really depends on what your use of the laptop will be

For me, the M11x was perfect because of its size and portability. The M15x was way too heavy and big to lug around from airport to airport, hotel to hotel. Ive been lugging around a Latitude for work for years and I refused to carry it or any laptop more than 6lbs ever again.

Thats my opinion though... hell one of my coworkers lugs around a G73 around and doesnt mind it whatsoever.

Battery life was also a consideration for me too. My M11x can go 5-6 hours on a charge and that works great for travel. I dont have to watch the crappy in-flight movies, and can even play games on a plane if I want to. I get a solid 3 hours gaming...

yeah i'm going to be moving around a lot due to school and work but my laptop stays in one area the whole time so when it sits it sits and doesn't move anymore.

i decided to back out on the mx11 cause the mx15 looks more appealing even though its heavy and i've lugged my hp dv9 series around a lot.

so before i pull the trigger. does anyone think i should get an extra battery or any other things so that its more convenient when i bring it around?

updated the post. and to the user who said that my mx-11 posting is incorrect. you should check dell again on the upgrade options

get the m15x with a 9 cell battery since if you upgrade the processor in the future to XM series you will need it for sure and you can get like 2.5 hrs on a i7 so i would imagine like 3hrs on a i5.
