    I'm replacing my hinge(s). To do that I need to purchase the back cover for the LCD screen as well. I thought this might be a good chance to maybe change from my Ripley design to the skullcap design :D

    I need yo help though. I thought I heard that the skullcap design had more hinge problems?

    lol wow looks like skullcap is popular!

    Is there a tutorial on how to replace this back panel + hinge? I know I have to unscrew all the screws around the screen but I also have a feeling it will be more than that.

    l33t = 1337 = leet = elite. gamer slang, as you said.

    the ripley and skullcap just send out different messages IMO. it's kinda like the audi R8 and the lambo gallardo - same car underneath, but one is classy, and the other screams "look at me!".

    If any of you remember watching "live free are die hard" there is a scene showing an alienware laptop with the skullcap ;)
    Unfortunately the laptop was violently smashed off the side of a desk into the wall :(

    ok I'm gonna get the skullcap lol. like my dad pointed out, it's the "alienware look" and that way people from accross the room can see that I have an alienware ;)

    Any answers about the hinge repair?
