    Hi guys, i'm having a lil' bit of problem here

    my dad wanna buy me a laptop

    i cant decide between M17x all powerful and M15x all powerful

    dont care about the price

    i want to know which is better and please explain why

    M17x (maxed out)

    older processor (core 2 extreme 2.8 ghz )

    powerful graphics (GTX280 SLi)
    ________________________________________

    M15x (maxed out)

    newer processor (i7 extreme 2 ghz/3.2 ghz turbo)

    weaker graphics (GTX260)

    mainly for gaming, i want M17x because it has more powerful GPU compared to M15x but i want M15x because it has newer faster processor than M17x

    The proc in the M17x is more than enough for gaming and the single GPU option in the M15x is more than enough for gaming....sorry for not helping much. ;)

    The vast majority of games rely far more heavily on the GPU, meaning 280M SLi will give you more power than an i7 processor in the vast majority of cases.

    By the way, I'd recommend 4870 Crossfire instead, especially if you're in Europe where it's cheaper.
