A quick question on this subject- is the 260M in SLI effective enough to make the purchase of the 280's somewhat superfluous? Their specs are so close, it seems like you wouldn't see much of a performance difference with the 280's. Also, if you bought the 260's, is it possible to order the 280's from Dell later down the road?

its not worth the upgrade to the 320gb? or 500? or 640? or 500x2 raid 1? seems cheaper then upgrading on newegg

Just start with complete base model and add SLI 260's...

Best bang for under $2k :)

You know I was going to make note to add whatever HDD based on your storage needs but figured you'd just assume that on your own.

I wouldn't get a RAID since eventually in the future you're going to want to upgrade to an SSD.
