Hi all,
Typically my alienware has started given me issues after the 4 year warranty expired several months ago....
I booted the laptop up to find my screen like this, I've ran the BIOS check and everything seems to check out in terms of the GPU, motherboard and I get no beeps upon boot-up. There doesn't appear to be any thing flagged in device manager either.
Has anyone come across this before and any ideas what the issue and resoultion is, I'm thinking a replacement screen by the looks of things? As it's not just the center of the screen that looks distorted but all the colours on screen seem faded and washed out.
I'm going to strip the laptop down this evening and ensure nothing has come lose, damaged or un-plugged (wishful thinking on my part)
On another note, if it is the screen is it worth replacing for the same 1080P screen or looking for something with a higher bump in resolution(if the laptop supports that?) My specs are in my signature if anyone would know.![]()

If you wanna replace the whole screen via DELL, they’ll most likely just give you a refurbished one. But if you have the confidence of disassembling it and assembling it back then you could check if there’s something wrong with the FPC inside. Otherwise, contact DELL and schedule a on-site service so they can send their technicians out to replace you screen. If the problem is bigger than just replace a screen, then I think you’ll need to send the whole unit back to DELL and wait for their response.

Hi @marticztn Unfortunately the unit is out of Warranty by several months so I can't imagine Dell will help me on this one.
Thanks for the response though! -
