And I have what looks to be two dead pixels near the center of my screen. The funny thing is, it really just looks like little bits of dust that are between the outer plastic screen and the lcd screen.

I ran a pixel test program and as it was blinking the small colored dots under neath the two dust or pixels, I could look from the top down and it certainly looked like as if it's probably dust and not a pixels. Seeing as how I could see the blinking pixel program blink the dots and the specks being seperate from it looking sideways top down.

I don't know, I think I'm paranoid. LOL. But for what you pay for these things I think it's ok to be.

Main question, is it possible for little specks of dust to get between the outer plastic screen and the main LCD screen? Eh, I'm too picky.

Just call Dell and have them replace the display. Don't bother messing with it, have them deal with it. Its a new system/order and there is no reason for Dell to give you static on this issue.

Although it is not updated to include the M15x, it does include the M17x and you can refer the tech support agent to it if they hassle you.

It's probably dust. Tap on the plastic covering with a finger until the dust falls to the bottom. I did it with two prior M15x's and it worked great.
