This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Ah, all right. I thought I had a solid lead! This "new batch" business is still as mysterious then.

    As has been noted by others, the "new chassis" has been a myth for months now. It simply doesn't exist. However, Roswell has told me they made a reinforcement to the lids to stop the flex and breakage in the hinge area.

    That, in itself, does not constitute a "new" chassis.
