    I used have an Intel ssd and it wasn't that faster. It never performed as advertised! Never buy ssd from Intel.

    Well intel ssd do take more watts ... they are modified data center ssd for the masses ...
    they get around 30C inside my laptop 2 of them in sandwitch... and i had zero problem with them , and they are the only ssd for the masses with a capacitor for flush in flight data write in the event of a suden power loss

    and the benchmark are okay for me... especially the iops ... i really don't care about the mb / secs ...

    here is some number on my system after a couple month main system drive of 2x480gb ssd's
    Raw speed (remember its the system drive so it sa a bit lower number as windows access drive while you bench)

    Intel offer a range of devices and the speeds/power consumption will depend entirely on the model you are talking about.

    actually,this is not that great performance wise. Maybe 4-5 years ago this would have been standard.
