I really really hate selfish company, but it seem like they feel threaten by other companies and therefore designed to pay ATI exclusively to have only their gaming notebook come equip with the 6990m whereas other company to have to wait 3 weeks afterward. This seem like another marketing BS. If Alienware is as great as they are, they shouldn't need to eliminate the competition. They are all fluff, having be behind in the graphic department for quite a while, I don't really see the point of this all.

Yes I'm mad, and I don't know what you guys think but I feel it pretty unfair when most card that get release are available to all gaming notebooks.

Behind in the graphics department? I'm not one to defend a company as I have absolutely no brand loyalty for anyone. My mindset is that if you want my "loyalty", you need to keep making good products time and time again to keep winning me over.

With that said, how is Alienware "behind in the graphic department"? The M17x and M18x got the GTX 580M as soon as it was available. They were, as you said, the first to get the 6990M. And all of their laptops seem to have pretty appropriate graphics cards: 1) M11x, smallest, has mid-high end graphics (540M); 2) M14x, middle, has high-end graphics (555M); 3) M17x, larger, has enthusiast graphics (460M and up); 4) M18x, huge, has dual enthusiast cards.

Every computer manufacturer are in war with each other. Eliminating the competition is the key to survival.

Is there any news source for this info?

Alienware is considered one of the largest boutique gaming laptops on the market. Also consider this, they are owned by Dell, one of the largest companies in the world for computers, I think it makes perfect sense. Think how little marketshare Clevo is just selling their extreme gaming brands. Only brand that comes close to selling the amount is ASUS G series, and they no longer offer super high end GPU (stopped with G73JW and the 5870 Mobility).

If you want to get a 6990M and don't buy an Alienware, wait 3+ weeks and buy from a different vendor, simple as that.

You are complaining because a company is getting an edge over other companies? Silly. It's called business. If you want to make money, sometimes you have to do some cut-throat stuff.

I can't afford Alienware even if I can :( unless I wanna be broke otherwise.

Yes but why did they have to start with the 6990m?

    Yes it is rather unfortunate.

If you know you can't even afford an Alienware, then don't complain at them. No real further point to discussing this, closing thread.
