I have a hairy dog and a pretty dusty prone house. I was wondering how I can clean the keyboard? Or prevent stuff from going in between the keys. My desktops keyboard had a jungle inside it when I flipped it upside down a shook out all the stuff from inside...so I dont want this to happen to the 3 thousand dollar laptop.

take it out, and use compressed air to blow out the dust/hair.

    Hi,
You might be able to by a film that sits over the top of the keyboard. I know I've seen it before, but I don't know where it can be purchased.

Use a portable vacuum cleaner, hair dryers (cool setting!) or sticky notes.

I just stick mine in the shower if it gets too dirty. :wideeyed: But then again, Mine is a toughbook!

Seriously though, I have seen/heard of protective films you can buy. Google "laptop keyboard cover" and sort through the list.

    ~Hope this helps...

what do you guys recommend for the keys themselves?

If you're really careful you might be able to lift the keys off... making sure you don't bnreak/snap any connectors etc.

Just an idea, i use damp cloth and air duster for my 17x...
