I was wondering how you would reinstall Windows 7 on the M11x without an external DVD drive. Is there a way to do this via a flash drive? I tried looking around, but my newbness has prevented me from finding a solution. Thanks!

I personally took the simplest solution - I borrowed an external USB DVD-drive from one of my colleagues :)
