Hey guys, I recently purchased an M17X and was wondering what type/brand of messenger bag/back pack/brief case you use to transport your computer around?

    Thanks!

I use a briefcase bag by McLean from ebags.com. I got it for my XPS 1730. Now my 17x. I added some extra foam for some added protection. It carries quite a bit of stuff.

Mobile Edge Alienware Orion Backpack! Im able to put my M17x and its adapter, my Shure SRH440 and its bag, my Logitech VX Nano, a couple of papers. The front has thick leather cover and in the bottom of the backpack I put some thick paper they use when boxing stuff. I feel a lot safer that way.

I use the Alienware Odyssey Messenger Bag and it fits my M17x, my power brick and cord along with my mouse, mousepad, external drive, thumb-drives, glasses, multiple DvDs, earbud-headphones and two of my University school books. Plus it looks cool

I do lots of presentations (sometimes quite a bit of walking), and so far Alienware Orion Backpack works great - very good weight distribution, a lot of space for additional paperwork, adapters etc.
    Highly recommend.

IMHO, when considering a bag, think how far you might need to carry it by feet. I had many shoulder bags and briefcases while working as a field(outsourcing) tech in my younger days but eventually switched to backpacks ONLY. You will feel it in your lower back and shoulders if you don't find an orthopedic backpack.

Alkimox, its sooo true. For something like a MacBook 13" messenger bag is a good option since its kinda more stylish than a backpack. But for a heavy baby like an M15x or M17x backpack is a must if you wanna walk around with your lappy. I used to use a messenger bag and carrying some heavy textbook alone, not laptop, makes my shoulder killing me. Now I can run around with my lappy and lots of other stuff and never feel hurt anymore thank to the Alienware Orion.
