Just a thaught but how long does it normaly take to make an alienware, if you look in my sig it will tell u all the details and I haven't made it past phase 5 yet, the first few stages are missing as I didn't get an order code untill stage 4 upon so yer bit lame. It's supposed to be my birthday present but there is no way it's gonna arrive before my birthday in 2 days and after that I am away for a week so if it comes then I won't get to unbox it as I know my family will. I am just worried incase it doesn't arrive before I go to uni. I am dissapointed in the time scale tbh, the finance option was crap and I haven't recieved my PC yet and I am already starting to go off Alienware :(

I have already had to change my order and have the TV tuner out as they said it would take another 5-6 weeks wait as they are on order and then have to be fitted to the board, so it would never have arrived for uni, or my birthday. :(

Have a look at the dates anyway, did anyone elses take this long or is this the normal time? or (I really hope its not) is this fast for AW? I will try to keep you updated but from the 22nd I am away in america for a week so can't for that period sorry.

I dono I don't wanna bother him, I am also a little dissapointed in the fact they couldn't ship out the headphones and other stuff I ordered seperatly. I wanted them to play with and set up and I ordered the Zen mp3 (in a random moment of crazy) and I sorta wanted it for the flight. Overall I have had rather a dissapointing experiance with AW but I just really hope it will be worth it when it arrives. I am just gonna put it down to them being really busy and I sorta feel asking armando will be a waste of both our time as I don't think they would delibratly keep me waiting, I just wanted to know if it was a good or bad time scale really?

if you feel this way already, call them and cancel.
you will not be happy if this is the mindset you are in already....

edit: or you could do what OB and exiled have stated and hopefully get a better feeling towards AW and your new toy..... :D

If you PM Armando like Exiled suggested he will help and hopefully you will have your order processed sooner.

Failing that you need to ring the CS and see what the problem is.

My order was being delayed because i had included a Mug which was put of stock. The system waits until it has your entire order in one go before processing it. If you ring up i'm pretty sure you will find that something is causing a hold up. When the CS agent knows what he/she can put it on back-order and you can have your order?

    Up to you (",)

    Just my 2p...

ok cool I shall give them I ring I think thanks, I kinda forgot I could ring and ask. I was just told by a friend that seeing as they have taken my money they has to give me an answer so thats fair enough. I don't want to cancel the order as I need the power for rendering as I am doing a 3D course at Uni.

Ok so I rang and they said they would send me an email with an estimated ship date XD

Glad you got it sorted out.

You won't be dissapointed. There are a few m17x reviews, mine included if you want to read up on them.

do not read OB's reviews.....way too one sided and offer very little negatives to ward away any prospective buyers.
and to top that off, his review of the AW mug is simply nothing to be missed. if you did not get a mug with your order, i would advise to do so ASAP as after his thread there may be a limited number available.....

well reviews are often leaning to one side, I mean if you are relaly happy with the product the negatives are gonna seem small, I was looking on site like Cnet but I can't really find any reviews other then ones on this site. I have noticed a few more people having problems with the m17x though the problem posts are becoming a lil bit frequent but you never really hear about the good too much so it's great to find someone who is genuinly happy and it puts that little bit of hope back into my heart that I made a good choice.

Sorry to hear about your experience, fortunately mine was much better and time was critical for me as I placed an order to ship it to US and I live in India :) it was just lovely timing which made it possible for me. I was there for 1 week in States and it got delivered a day before I reached. My friend collected it for me.

    It was like that..

    Order Placed: 7/1/2008
    Order Shipped: 7/15/2008
    Order Received: 7/18/2008
