Well I think you can restore back to the factory image by using F8 on the boot screen (I don't know for sure).

But if you're talking about an actual reinstall, don't you just pop in the Win7 DVD, boot from that, and follow prompts to re-install? If you aren't booting from the DVD, it might be because the boot order is set to boot from HDD first. In that case, go into BIOS (press F2 on the boot screen), and look for the boot order options, and change it so that it boots from DVD/Blu-ray drive first.

You can do this by pressing F12 when you restart/start your laptop, then follow the windows 7 install and there will be an option to format your hard drive, format it and keep installing windows 7 and once its finished you will end up with a clean hard drive with windows 7 installed on it only and nothing else.

In the manual, it says in Ch7: System Recovery
"When the computer boots, it will display a prompt on the screen for five seconds prior to loading windows. While this prompt is on screen, press <F10>"

Well, I did that but its not going into AlienRespawn v2.0

Would you not have the original DVD which came with your system? Then you can do a proper fresh install of Windows when booting from the DVD (press F12 at POST)

It does come with 2 CDs: Alienware Windows 7 CD, Alienware Drivers

I was wanting a simpler recover just like what youd' find with HP. ie, press F8, F10, or F12 during POST to recover to factory default...

after all, this M15x has alotted 15G of HD space just for that..

I tried a "Dell-Support Suggested" procedure and here is what I got:
