It may seem like an odd question seeing as if I had a mouse plugged in, I wouldn't need the touchpad, but the touchpad also gets disabled when I plug in a drawing tablet, which isn't that good of a "clicker".

I'd like to know if I could in any way have the touchpad working still so I could skip the mouse sometimes (assuming there's also a driver fix for the touchpad)

Yes there is if you have synaptics drivers installed right click on the synaptics icon in the lower right task bar of windows and open up settings. In the settings there is a check box that you can select to disable or not disable the touchpad when an external device is plugged in, make sure that is un-checked. If you're running the windows driver go to the mouse settings through device manager/control panel and it is a very similar box that needs to be unchecked.

Thansks, Dane! For some reason I thought I'd read that it couldn't be done. I'm glad that's not the case. :)
