    Ordered my M11x on March 8th. Got an EDD of April 1st. Online, order status has been stuck on "processing". Then, I called their customer service. The lady told me that my laptop would ship shortly. Alright. Cool. Checked again online then my order status changed to "in production". Then, here's the funny part. I called that 800 number and could get to the automated order status system. It says that my order has been boxed and would ship. Also, that a tracking number would be provided anytime soon. Although that information matches what the rep told me this morning, I'm clueless. To me, 3 days to build and ship a M11x would be out of this world. What do you think guys?

    Interesting. I ordered on the same date and mine is in "pre-production". Just my luck... according to the first post, not many actually see that status... :( EDD is Apr 5th btw.

    I wonder which part is missing: SU4100, 2GB RAM DIMMs or 250GB HDs... I haven't ordered anything special. :confused:

    I havent been able to get out of the production/build stage yet, I cancelled my order after 5 days in and re-ordered on 3-12. M15x shows ship date of 4-2-10. I upgraded to the 260m video card, it says this will delay my order, so I dont know how accurate these times are.

    God this waiting stinks.

    Well, I wrote an e-mail to Michael Dell and got an executive in their corporate escalations office to respond. When I asked if she was a supervisor her response was she was as high as it goes! LOL She got my system fast tracked and into boxing the same day as the response. I also said I wanted to be compensated as this was my 3rd Alienware system in the last year which was delayed. She said to rest assured I would be WELL compensated as soon as the system in my hands. I also had her e-mail me with all the details and proof that I would be well compensated and she did. So, mine should be in my hands before friday and hopefully some kind of great gift or discount. My advice to all of you that have been delayed is to research and write a letter to Michael Dell as I got a response and she actually was the only one to get things moving. Not just lip service =)

    Quick update for anyone wanting to estimate their processing time
    I ordered on 3-12 with the 260m card (supposed to delay production a couple days) and my order status switched to "boxing" on thurs AM 3-18.

    Maybe not such a big delay after all?

    I just checked yesterday and my M17x-R2 was still in the build stage, then I checked it today and it skipped the testing stage and is now in the Boxing Stage and is supposed to be shipped out tomorrow!!! Thats cool and everything, but is it bad that they skipped the testing stage? Sounds important to me.

    Is there no way for Canadians to tell what stage their order is in? All it gives me is a "In Production" on the order status page.

    Ordered my M11x on 03/08. Initial EDD is 04/01. Today, got tracking info from Purolator. Should get my M11x by this coming Monday (tomorrow if I'm lucky). Although Dell turnaround times seem unpredictable, I'm quite happy with that one. ;)
