I was just curious, how warm does the m15x get under various conditions? I'm talking about after the BIOS update (since that supposedly fixed the overheating issues). According to this review, the m15x is "not a machine to use on a lap". Is that true?

Beware when putting on your lap or on your bed. It will block the air intake from the bottom. Beside its Downclock running battery. Try changing settings but still no use. Maybe someone can correct me on that.

Can you set it so that it won't have power saving settings turned on when it's on battery (for the sake of gaming performance)?

While running a GPU stressing program, like FurMark, my GPU peaks at 102*C in 1 minute. While running something like Company of Heroes, it exceeds 90*C. But my system's defective. So if you do purchase an m15x, make sure it's not performing likewise after you receive it.
