Hi guys, before i start on the tip i want to say that i am civil engineer so i know the well the laws o fisics and dynamics. I have a m15x and read here a lot of the hinge that holds the screen break very easily, i must admit that the conection of the screen to the metal hinge is weak, i have my m15x for almost 2 years now and nothing has gone wrong with mine. So my advice is when opening your screen open simutaniouly from both edges of the screen, applying the same force on each side this way reduces drasticly the amount of stress the hinges will suffer. the hinges suffer alot more when opening from the middle and even more when opening from one edge only, i cant say that your hinge will never break this way but it will reduce the odds of that happening. hope this helps

Good tip. But I just love the way you spelled "physics"! You might also want to check out the mods which prolong the life

On the other hand...if you continue opening from one side and you have complete care...that spells upgrade to me... :D ;) Or at the very least, new stuff. Shiny new stuff. Definately good tip though +1

great tip, but i also suggest the hinge mod. its just how the older model was design, its bound to happen sooner or later. while your hinge is still good do the mod, it take a few hours but better for your hinge in the long run. :D
