Hi everyone I am new to the forums but have been reading posts for a little while, dell Canada has $200 off the price of this M17x I am just not sure if I should get the 17-inch WideUXGA 1920 x 1200 (1200p) or the WideXGA+ 1440 x 900 (900p) and also does the wireless card matter? either the Wireless 1520 802.11n Half Mini-Card or the Intel® Ultimate N WiFi Link 6300 a/g/n 3x3 MIMO Technology.

Here are the specs pretty good for the price I think $2,799 before tax
    Intel® Core™ i7 720QM 1.6GHz (2.8 GHz Turbo Mode, 6MB Cache)
    6GB DDR3 at 1066MHz
    Dual 1GB ATI Radeon™ Mobility HD 4870 in CrossfireX™
    640GB 5,400RPM SATA-II HDD
    17-inch WideUXGA 1920 x 1200 (1200p)
    Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64bit, English
    Wireless 1520 802.11n Half Mini-Card

I would pick the RGB LED screen and 4GB instead of 6GB of RAM.

Ah I would but it wont let me go less than 6GB maybe its cause of the deal they have for that build.

Mmm, yea that's a nice build, but I've read that the RGB LED is pretty nice, so I'd get that if you can

You probably picked the pre-configured model, but if you try configuring from scratch can change the RAM to 4GB. I think it's 150-200$ less.

My best suggestion is to order over the phone and try and work out something with the sales agent. They will usually work with you. I have a thread with some suggestions linked in my sig. It's worth a read if your considering making a purchase.

The most important two things to get is Nebula Red chassis and RGB LCD Screen. Everything else can be upgraded later. :)
