I was talking to a friend about this bundle and I was going on and on about 'Oh, EA is still getting a cut, and they just want Origin penetration.' wah, wah, wah.
It turns out I was COMPLETELY wrong, and EA is also donating their usual share to charity as well! So they're getting nothing out of this.
Along with that, most of the games are STILL REDEEMABLE ON STEAM! So if you hate Origin like me (They lost two of my games... Just lost. Paid for, physical copies, keys in hand, cannot add them to Origin and now invalid.), you can still get the majority of the pack on Steam!
From the website:
"*Note: This bundle provides Origin keys for all the games on Windows, with The Sims 3 also available on Mac. Select games also come with Steam keys.
Origin loves charity. Origin and Electronic Arts Inc. are donating their share of the proceeds from this bundle to the following 5 great charities: the Human Rights Campaign; Watsi; the San Francisco AIDS Foundation; the American Red Cross; or the American Cancer Society. And if you're enjoying this promotion, a tip to Humble Bundle is greatly appreciated!" -

Yup, I saw that too. They are donating their part as well. I personally like Steam as well and I would love to have'em all on Steam but only some of them are available for Steam. But anyway, it's a great way to get the keys for those awesome games at a really low price and help others while you play..

Kinda weird that Dead Space is on Steam, but 3 is not. Still, the other games are incredible, especially Mirror's Edge.
And, publicity stunt or not, EA just earned themselves some bonus points in my eyes, thanks for sharing Mr. Porras. -

I always buy from HumbleBundle Inc and I saw this one and thought about sharing it here haha.

I have been buying games through HumbleBundle for a little while now and it is a great cause. This is a wonderful way to support charity and give more than required while getting massive discounts on games for yourself. I ended up with a few titles I don't like too much, but they were titles I wanted to try to find out. I didn't lose anything in the process. If you already own the titles, the keys also make nice gifts. I have given away keys and have received a couple from friends.

Also, for those games redeemable on Steam, get both Steam and Origin keys. It's basically getting those games twice, for both platforms.
Thanks for posting, Mr. Porras! I picked it up the day it went up, it's a really good deal. As of this post, they are up to $5,220,310.93 in payments. I'm not sure, but this may be end up being a record for Humble Bundle.
Also, just noting that Origin's key redemption service was hammered so hard it went offline on the day it was posted. Just letting others know, in case it happens again. -

I grabbed a bundle immediately, and although they are American charities a charity is still .. eeh a charity. Red Cross do good work regardless of location so they got most of my tenner

Is the EA new CEO the reason Dragon Age 3 will now have multiple selectable races again? If he's behind all this, then maybe something good is happening again in the world.
-
Bioware isn't going to make changes to their game based on some new stiff at EA.

Excellent bundle, +rep Porras. A handful of games never purchased that I've had on a list. +rep to EA also.

I also jumped on this, following this post in the 17 Owner's Lounge (I was trespassing LOL):

I picked up this bundle a few days ago as well. Great deal and good cause.

Arguably one of the best, if not the best bundle ever. Seriously, this is a monstrously good deal.
almost 1.3 million sold, and about 6.5 million raised for charity so far, and were still in the first third of the sale. EA played their hands right on this. They are not getting money directly from it, but its probably getting a load of people to register origin accounts, is invigorating the BF3 community, and is giving them a ton of positive public relations points. -

Agreed. Thanks for the heads up Luis.

From a few places i've read that We should expect 2 more games added today or tomorrow. They should be added to the original bundle and all the people who bought it should get them In additioN.
I am not 100% positive ,but this is the info lurking thru the forums.
Keep checking so you dont forget
And i must say this is one amazing bundle... -

Can't win 'em all I guess....

Haven't played C&C in literally years. Time to give it a whirl again !
-
There were rumours of a few others coming too. One of the games was Bulletstorm.
-
-
Yes, i expected bulletstorm too, but i believe that will be all. They usually have 3 tiers of games. And that bundle has as much atm.
Well, shame for Populous , but its still something -
I would've got myself a bundle if it had Bulletstorm in it... Already bought two for friends, though.
-
Yeah I really want Bulletstorm for some laughs with mates
