I would think that any CS that divulges any information about the new product probably doesn't know what they are talking about, seeing how the ones that do know about it, know that they need to keep their mouths shut on the issue.

So even though we have all got bits of info hear and there (and most of it contradicting), we really don't have that's anything substantial enough to give us any good ground to stand on. So really, we will just have to wait until Monday. sucks waiting huh, haha.

use your common sense, GPU manufacturers ship out pre-release cards to the major notebook companies well before release date so those companies can sell laptops equipped with the new technology as soon as it's officially available.

well, there have been various reports of an upcoming 17" notebook, and AW's quite set on intel/nvidia notebooks, so an AMD/ATI model isn't completely unthinkable.

yes they do the AMD X4 a true Quad-core, but only available for desktops.
Also AW might not be releasing the new computer right away. They might wait till after CES 2009. like the M15x and m17x were.
It would be nice to see some latest tech in them. i7, AMD quad, ATi 4k, ect.

The question will be will it be higher than the m17x or between the M15&17x's. or below the M15x.

why would you want amd quad for

    you want intel quad

    intels are the best cpu

amd will never catch up on the processor market

Since nether of the products are out for consumer use, we can not make that speculation.

I don't see why they wouldn't. AMD used to kill intel back in the day and then Intel stepped up their game. AMD just has to make some killer CPU's again. I don't see why it will never happen.

You can't say such a bold statement without definitive reasoning. I personally prefer Intel myself, but I wouldn't go so far as to say that.

Lol this thread is more like a wish list then anything else but hey keep it up there is nothing wrong with demanding product that equates the same quality and quantity of money you are paying for.

It's possible that the next Alienware notebook may have the ATi Mobility 4xxx series. That page the news links to is just the Device ID page and if it's any indicator of the the GPUs shipping, then it's possible since that page has been up almost 2 months ago (with the ATi Mobility 4xxx GPUs listed during that time as well).
