I've post good shots on notebookforums before, you may know me as God...

I've done a bit more tinkeing with my notebook, i'm still getting bad 3dmark scores but I believe it's the ram. If I had 2 gigs, I'd get 7000 3dmark05. Seriously.

Each of these games pauses for about 30 seconds, then runs at 25-30 fps.

If I save in an area with enemies I'm toast for sure :-X

I'm about to show you some AWESOME shots of an m5750 in action WITH ONLY 512 MEGS OF RAM! You won't believe what I've done...

But I've used cheat codes, right? Some of these games have none (GRAW), so...

Want proof that these are real?

How in the world could I pause to print image while still shooting, if I nhad bad fps, hum?

As you can see, I'm getting good fps, in a remarkable way :)

Fable, highest settings. Why shouldn't it? Nothing going on.

The big ones. No,I don't update graw to show it, this is what I play graw at!

Half-life 2. If you'll notice, I'm taking shortcuts, as in high res textures white medium polygons in each game. But hey, what can you do with 512 megs of ram?

    Prey. Highest settings. Highest anisotophy.

The ol computer destroyer, quake 4. Can only imagine how 2 gigs of ram would run it...

This is the motherload. Oblivion with everything set to high, and some mods, including better texturing... Oblivion loves ati cards...

There you have it... If you want to knw how it was done, I took a minimalist approach (two items in back, that's it), got rid of alienguise (You'd be suprised how much that helped) got rid of some programs in the background, and for some reason, downloading net framework 2.0 may have sped up the pc...

Those are some awesome-looking screenshots there Zellio. Thanks for joining the forums and posting with us.

I'm impressed with the MR X1800's performance. I did not think it was capable of the settings you are playing at. 3DMark does not do the card justice. .

How did you get the water to look like that in Oblivion? I'm thinking I either missed a setting or mod for that one :)

I wish I could handle grass...ah, its good enough though! :D

check out natural environments. it changes alot of crap in oblivion to look nicer without a change in framerate. Look for it.

I reformated the system, got rid of the junk, and made even more impressive shots. Enjoy.

BTW, framerate at top right. Still 512 megs ram, no overclocking.

Last image is bad quality. I'm now at Quake 4 ultra quality, versus quake 4 high quality, where I was before...

Actually, it just took a while to download all those beautiful pictures. ;)

Based on the settings you are running those ames at, I am thoroughly impressed with the performance of the ATI X1800. Very nice.

I'm gonna try oblivion, see if I have even a fragment of a hope to get it to look like my desktop...

I seriously doubt it, but I can at least add a few mods from my inventory... It was running better then it should before anyway...
