dont forget if you sell it on ebay then whoever buys it wont get any warranty with it for support and they could be contacting you all the time for help.

If you don't want to deal with it, just make it clear in your auction that your m15x is sold AS IS. and that you are not responsible for anything that happens.

You should totally just stick with it. It seems to just be a driver issue, which can be resolved easily. You don't seem to have any major issues at all.

I don't think you'll notice the 0.2ghz difference. My friend was using stock drivers that came with his laptop (dv9k series I believe it was) and got like 30-40 fps in wc3. Now with the 177.98 drivers he gets consistent 59-60 fps. New drivers might help.

yea but hpw many m15x owner needed to reinstall windows/drivers when they received their machines? a lot. and other brands? very little. even a $399 dell would work flawlessly right out of box.

Just because you don't hear about it from other brands it doesn't mean they have also have their fair share of troubles.

that advice got went out the window as most ppl here agree that a lot of ppl come to a forum to discuss issues and problems and that is why we see some many AW problems and it's not as big a problem

Let's also remember that this is the Alienware forum so when people come here to report problems, I maybe way off on this, I think they are going to report problems with their Alienware and not their Gateway.

I've never had to reinstall my windows or drivers. Upgrade drivers, yeah. I've done it properly though so no need to reinstall it past the first install/update.

People come her for problems in general. Most people aren't forum monkies, like myself, and would probably just lurk here, if that even, if they get a functional, non-problematic m15x.
