So I have seen at least one person with the SSD in RAID0. Would anyone care to provide performance info on the SSDs in stripe compared to just 1 SSD. What I really want to know is what is the penalty to the CPU for going to a stripe with the SSDs.

Thank you 4st3isk. but those are Intel drives on a desktop platform. I think there maybe a possibility that there is a performance difference between the those Intel drives and the Samsungs that come with the M17x, partially due to the drives themselves but also because of the chipset.

Thank you just the same though. More information never killed anyone, unless of course you are a hypochondriac ;)

I'm 99% sure no one did it with 256GB Samsungs in M17x yet. Even if someone did, the chance of them posting the results online is 0%.

The change of them posting them is 50%...
They post them or they don't, that's 2 possible outcomes.
    2/100=50%

Well, that mentality is saying that while having 2 options, theres a 50% chance for going one way over another..which I disagree
It's like saying the same thing about war/peace..

Switzerland has a 50% chance of declaring war or 50% chance of declaring peace?

    doesn't seem right :p

As long as were debating semantics, how does one declare peace?

I know what you mean.. I get it. You don't declare peace, you declare war, don't fight peaces, fight wars, don't die during peaces, die during wars.

That wasn't my point though, not where I was going. I just took war/peace as an example and I guess used it in the wrong context
