You know the QuickTouch system control pad above the keyboard? Don't you hate it when you tap on it and your not sure if the computers knows you tapped it?

Well my idea is, have it light up a different colour when clicked. Example, say I want to turn the volume up, have it change a different colour. Or have like a ripple effect, when you click play, have the other ones around change colours to make it look like its rippling away.

I'm a lil' baked so I'll edit this later on if it doesn't make sense.

To my knowledge you cannot change individual LED colors in the media bar, at least with their official API.

I'm not sure if this is true for other people, but on my Alienware M17x R2 with a replaced media bar, the lights on the media bar slightly turn brighter for about 3 secs after you touch them, so is this really necessary?

    same with mine.
if you look closely to the button you just pressed you would notice that it becomes brighter than the rest of the buttons. and it returns back to normal brightness after about 2 seconds.
i think it is possible to find a solution if someone had the knowledge.

You should see the OSD try a new installation of latest version for your M17x.
