I don't want to do it myself though because I have no experience with opening laptops, only PC's. I also want thermal paste re-applied. My GPU idles at 53, it used to at 39/40 so I'm thinking there's a problem.
If I call Dell Tech, will they come over and do that? Or what's the best way to go about doing this from someone that knows what they're doing? Geeksquad perhaps?
thx

Stay Away from BB geeksquad, you're better off doing it yourself. They may know what they're doing but they're just charging too much IMO. It's good to learn yourself how to do it, so that you become more comfortable with your system, just search for a guide on how to do it, or wait and someone will post a link to a guide that shows you how to do it. And if they don't, I will, My M17x-R2 should be here within the next 2 weeks or so and I'll post one up when I get it. I'll be the first think I do when I get my Machine.
By learning yourself how to do it, you'll be more comfortable with your device and become more knowledgeable on how to do routine maintenance on it. Like changing oil on a car. -
Here is a guide I found via Google that talks about changing processor http://www.notebookforums.com/thread230093.html You could use this guide to open it up yourself and clean it all out.

Which M17x are you talking about
1 m17x Note the spelling With core 2 geforce 8600 8700 8800 9800. note this brand had 2 Model one with lights and one with out. The speakers did not have lights.
2 M17x r1 With core 2 geforce 260 280 Ati 4870 (Intergraded geforce 9400)
3 M17x r2 Note Intel i5 i7 Ati 4870.
2 and 3 are both the same as in taking the system apart.
I need my m17x cleaned out from the inside.
