    i ordered an m9750 alienware laptop from a seller on ebay with only a single GPU :D . now that is okay since i just intended on buying the second gpu with the sli cord. but, i was looking at a site about taking apart the m9750, and the pictures looked like the SLI Bridge was integrated, but i could not be sure :( . so, is the m9750 SLI Ready? or would i have to order a bridge also?? if i do then im screwed cause i cant find it anywhere but, if not id really like to know. you would think that its just sli ready and all you need is the second gpu and the sli cord but i dont know. if you only need those two, would i also need to get the heatsink and fan for it? :confused:

    As former Owner of the M9750!

    1st! = Get the second GPU 7950GTX or 8700M, depends on your existing card!
    Your exisiting card should be called the Daughter card! Your new or 2nd
    card will be called the Master Card/Parent card!

    2nd = Yes! M9750 is SLI ready with PM945 intel chipset/SLI chipset N100!
    You'll still need the SLI cable which would be almost impossible to find!
    Goodluck calling AW, even they might not even want to sell it to you,
    due to Original Ownership!

    3rd = No! Heatsink/Fan required! It's already there! :) though you'll need
    some form of thermal paste, etc, Artic Silver 5. You can find detailed
    instructions on how to remove and install the 2nd GPU! On AW website! It's not too
    hard but, good luck on SLI setup and pls! update the Drivers! with
    laptopvideo2go.com (modded)

    Thanks for all the great info!! But one thing.. The laptop should be comming with the 8700m gt master card right? I mean, I know it is comming to me with the 8700m gt but it should be master and then I should need the secondary or "sister card" sorry I'm not up on my termanology.. The secondary card I'm getting from an eBay seller which is going to include the sli cord. The card and cord were pulled from a used m9750 but were tested working. If you'd like the eBay name of him I can provide if anyone is intrested in getting one of those cards with the cord.

    Yes, some ppl called it the master and others the parent! AW called it the Parent or secondary card. It's going to have a P and spelled out parent , on one of the chip! Once you open up your laptop I'll be clear! Hope this helps!

    Aliencontact I do not know why you are telling him to get a master secondary card since in the M9750 the naming is as follows:
    DAUGHTER Video Card = Primary/Master Video Card (This Is What The Laptop Primarily Runs Off)
    PARENT Video Card = Secondary/Slave Video Card (This Is The Second Additional Card)
    If You want to get the correct card make it clear that you want a PARENT Card clearly marked "Parent" on the card itself, do not use the words master since the chances are they will misinterpret that master as a daughter video card. Incidentally you may have been able to order the card directly from Alienware if you explained your situation to technical support.

    If he can find the cards theres no doubt upgrading to them would be an excellent upgrade over the 7950's :)

    Yes, thanks for the clarifacation! It's been a long time since I lost her! Both of my cards fried and AW couldn't help me! I have to sell her! Still my best PC of it's days!

    Master = Daughter = Main card! 1st one
    Parent = Slave = 2nd card!
