Ok. So the Red finally appeared and I can't hold out any longer![]()

-- Memory --
-- 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1066MHz
-- [317-0856]

-----------------------
-- Hard Drive --
-- 320GB - 2x 160GB 7,200RPM - RAID 0
-- [341-0009]

Everything else standard (warranty, etc).
Got it for a grand Total of: $2,557.41 w/ NBD shipping.
So, was this a pretty good deal? I am probably going to sell the Q9000 for something else. I figure I can get about $300 for it, right?
Any comments welcome...
And now, I wait AGAIN! lol
-
-
That is a amazing deal
-
The M17x I returned had a P8600, SLI 260's, WXGA, and the same RAID array and I paid $2075 total.
The new July e-value code is a steal, IMO. -
Yes, great deal, with the Sam's club deal and the new promo I'm finding it harder and harder to wait myself. Just a question, thought you were gonna hold out for the ATI cards? Really looking forward to pics of the red chassis and your tinfoil hat, I'm sure it'll be tastefully done
-
Gratz on the new system Sleey0! The Red is HOT!
-
I miss my M17x, really. I loved it and didn't want to part with it but I am glad I did. I just got a much better deal than my last order so patience paid off
Besides, if the ATI cards do become available soon I could always sell a pair of 280's.... -
.
-
if only some one has another 260 ....
-
lol...
-
Looks like you got a nice deal
-
Very good deal..forreal...A very good deal indeed. I would have got that if it was in black..Too bad I bought it first day.
-
In fact, my order would have been $100 cheaper if I didn't pick it. So the system I got could have been ~$2450 -
CRAP...Like..i want that deal..now..I would get 280s in SLI in exchange for half the hard drive space for about the same price...Wish I could somehow exchange.
-
im within my 30 days and having issues
-
That is a very good deal but i cant bring myself to wait another 21 days just to save some cash
.
-
You can. Tell them your computer overheats etc. My initial one had a bad wireless card and instead of replacing the card, I asked for a new system and I also got a $150 discount. My setup came to $2200ish to me. It had the SLI 280m gtx, wuxga, P8600, 250gb hdd. I believe the price I got is pretty good since after tax the Sam's club one gets to $2300 and it has the sli 260m.
-
Ok, the e-value code gives you a certain config that is discounted. You don't have to keep it the same although there are less options.
Try for yourself... Go here for the config I started with. -
oh geez, Dell better add more bandwidth to their order status line.
grats sleey0! -
Now I just have to hope that I'll be home when it ships. My luck it will ship within a week -

Yea I am going to be within my 30 days and having issues
.... then they can ship me a red one with the same specs!
I could have got it in red with the same specs and it would have been cheaper! lol -
looks like you went with the higher rez this time. good choice.
-
you will get the exact system. The only way to get it would be return your old one , wait for the credit to come back then reorder. Sounds like alot of waiting .
-
MrButterBiscuits ~Veritas Y Aequitas~
I have connections
-
Lol k let me know how that go's
-
MrButterBiscuits ~Veritas Y Aequitas~
haha... my guess is I wont, becuase I'll probably fall in love with my black one... and red may be too flashy for college... plus I want to see how it really looks as it might appear quite a bit thicker due the color... and all my extra equipment I bought matches the black one
lol
-
Not a bad deal. $100 cheaper than if you spec it with the P8600 on Dell Home site and you also get a 7% discount at the checkout.
How long does that offer last? -
If I don't like the red (and I think I'll love it) then I'll send it back and wait AGAIN!
LOL
-
I'll trade you lids so we can both have two-toned.
-
Green lid with a black bottom would have looked nice
. Green Lantern style .
-
even better.

Man I wish us Canadians got these Evalue deals, I paid 2961.00$ CAD tax inc for everything base except the 1920x1200 screen, one year of complete care and dual 260M's and that was including 7% EPP discount. lol
-
Is there any way to add epp/dell university's 7% discount to this e-value?
-
Looks like it's already added. There's a 7% discount at checkout if you follow sleey0's link.
-
-
Wow, as much as I am waiting for the M15x refresh, this may have made me just decide to re-order the M17X!
Thanks alot Sleey0 *end sarcasm* ...hehe. -
With a Q9000 and the rest of the specs I want it comes out to $2644.89 after taxes + S&H. Plus $520 for Shirley's QX9300 QGNG on eBay and you get $3164.
But for $236 more I can a QX9300 from AW with this deal for $3400.81.
$236 isn't really a lot to pay to have my CPU covered under a Complete Care warranty....especially as it may get harder and harder to find ES sample CPUs. -
MrButterBiscuits ~Veritas Y Aequitas~
yea the Qx9300 from Alienware/dell is a solid 1000... I got mine fore 400... 600 difference I say yes
-
-
Can you add the warranty after the fact or do you need to get it at the time of purchase?
-
-
you're a very, very, very, very brave man Sleey0!!!!
I love the look of the Nebula one - especially coupled with the Red AlienFX lighting..however, i think the red restricts the colour matching you can do a bit..
that being said, i'd have been happy with keeping the lighting to red
Good luck!! keep us posted! and, we want pics too!! don't forget! -
-
how did you get it to the price you did.. i get $2,515.76 without the red... ?? lmk i think it may be time for my order..
