would the es version break easier when overclocked than the Oem version.

Plus would intel be producing even a higher spec in the future. Ideally a 2.33

Would I void the warranty if I upgrade the CPU myself in M15x ?

technically yes. but many other have done it, saving the systems original cpu for when they have to send it back for warranty. they dont use the little tape any more to cover the screws so its a tad bit easier., however i wouldn't recommend it because it does void your warranty.

I know many many people that have bought ES & never had a problem,But have heard rare cases of having a bad one.The one advertised in the link is a QS which is basically what the OEM's test with, there virtually the same as retail but you will never get a guarantee that you would get if you bought retail package.I personally would have no problem buying one from a seller with good feedback as if you get a poor sample they will change for you.

It doesn't void the full warranty of the system its just when it gets broken you have to put the old stuff back in hence you cant sell the old parts for some money recovery.
