No, When I pulled the lcd apart, it turns out that the lcd takes up most of the case inside :(

So, the only way to go about it would be to make it thicker or I could use a XPS 1 as the base for it since it is the same shape and general design as the tactx lcd.

One of my gripes with AW is the lack of colours available.

    We need:
    1. Aqua Blue
    2. Toxic Green
    3. Ivory White

...on-top of the already existing Cosmic Black and Nebula Red. The bigger selection, the better IMO.

If Sony can do it, AW should too!

Used to be there was an alien green, lunar silver, and even blue.

No more unfortunately. I think they should add more colors. I know people who would willingly pay extra for a different color.

Give alienware back it's company and not make it a subsidiary of dell!

I know somebody is going to kill me because of this...

Then prices would skyrocket and warranty would turn into crap (mail-in depot vs. NBD). :p

I much prefer Dellianware for their better prices and aftermarket support (that's available in most countries around the world).

The thing that Dellianware is missing, though, are new/fresh radical ideas. The old AW used to take risks with new designs/colours.

I would like to see the LEDS to be any color you want not just the presets and the more case colors

Doesn't sound like that battery would last very long on a rig like that. :p

lol thats where the integrated graphics come into play! and the fans kick in instead of the liquid cooling!

im saying it would be light.. but id suspect that you would have a descent battery for this beast.

    Nice.....

#9 was the first thing on my mind. Would take like 8 to keep it cool. Also could include the optional cup holder based on the size.

    Magnet on the charger!!!!

that would be a good start.

Also, i GPU dock. So like if we have an M17x R3 you could dock it to a station with a 2nd GPU that would make it xfire or SLi.

Gotta be careful with that one, as the apple patent trolls would be all over that if it worked even remotely similar to the macbook one. :(

Would be cool and all it would seriously require would be an external MxM slot and an enclosure. Plus all the programming that goes with that of coarse. :)

    are you trolling me lol..

na for real.. the topic is ideas for new alienware computer and gamers want it big.. now i understand we are a small percentage of the market but if your going to dream why not dream big.. but rolling right along with your idea.. the cup holder would work out if you include a water or drain able keyboard that drains to the bottom of the laptop just in case of spills..

Hahaha. Not trolling, I had a similar idea and kept running into cooling issues due to the new types of VC's out there. I like the idea. Our engineering team looks at alot of the requests and checks out ideastorm. That is where some of the big guys hang out.

Old school Alienware put out a huge one. That thing was insanely large. Looked like a table. I thought it was pretty cool, just would not carry it around.

All I want is a dual SLI/crossfire system the size and weight of the current M17x with an aluminum chassis.

    So, pretty much a thinner / lighter M17x R2.

Agree definitely Aluminium or Chrome would be amazing as I said in a previous thread. I also preferred the grooves on the backplate in the older models too!
