    I probably would not... White would be too easy to scuff and mar up. Silver or graphite could work well though.

    Maybe not, because white isnt my favourite colour plus it would look too high profile and to some other would think AW is copy Apple, and like csin said, silver, grey or red would buy me. However if it is white, I'll like it to have the anodised aluminium or stainless steel case, especially with silver but it will be look too shiny lol.

    Well in my opinion, Apple sucks and I hate apple. Especially after my iPhone and my iPad. They can't do anything compared to my Android tablet that i bought. So i sold my iPad and next is my iPhone if they dont come out with an android port for it.

    Anyhow. Why would it matter if they copied apple?

    Well, I also hate Apple, and the main reason I said someone might say they AW might copy Apple is just look at Samsung Galaxy smartphone trail.

    No... I wouldn't want to own anything that remotely resembled or reminded me of an Apple/Mac product, even if only the color. Not sure a lawsuit over color would stick, but we've seen them sue over equally silly things. I don't think they own a patent on the color white, LOL.

    Apart from that, how nasty would scuffs and blemishes look on a white chassis? It would look old and worn way too fast.

    After thinking about it, Most apple laptops that are white look yellow in a year. Sounds like Apples Marketing scheme, makes you think it looks nasty or they say you need the new product, so you MUST upgrade. xD

    White would be horrible. I have a 5 yr old plus white Apple i book. Trying to keep it clean has been difficult. Scratches look stained even after cleaning it. Wear and tear does not hide well. I personally like the white color however for longevitiy, it does not work imo.

    I made a white m11x, it actually stays pretty clean. Since it has a high gloss clear coat on it everything just wipes away

    My Inspiron 910 (Mini 9) is white and it shows every blemish. I hate it (the color) and I would never buy white on purpose. I may paint the lid, but the problem with that is any chips that would show white underneath would be pretty ugly as well.

    ejohnson, your situation is somewhat different because you did it yourself. An automotive grade finish with clearcoat is nice. Doing something custom increases the cool factor. You can also change it to something else later if you wish. For those that end up living with what they buy, maybe not so great.

    I wouldn't dream of covering the anodized aluminum finish on the M18x with paint.

    As others have said though, I'd go for a silver / gun-metal grey or something.

    I don't know how good those colours would look on something that isn't aluminium though.

    I've had a DV7 HP (Worst laptop I've owned, overheated constantly) and it was bought in September 2010. HP has gone down the toilet.

    Anyhow, that laptop had all Aluminum body, and it looked nice. The problem was it made the whole laptop feel warm. If they made a Silver Plastic model, then I'd buy it. I would want it all the same color though. I'm not impressed with a Silver lid and black body, that just looks strange.

    I wouldn't buy a white alienware laptop. Metallic red, silver or blue would appeal to me. I can see a market for white ones though, maybe more colour options will be offered in the future.

    heheh yeah thats my old r3, not sure what i will do with my M18x yet. people have gotten me interested in doing color shifting paints but i'm not sold on it yet.

    also here is my yellow M15x too, just incase someone wanted to see yellow in action.

    After seen those picture, I kinda like the yellow (if possible I'd like it to be a Gold replica) colour than lime, because for some reason I think lime to way too bright for me.

    I'm blown away by the neon/green and yellow colours.

    Both laptops look absolutely incredible!

    (even though the neon/green one is only the frame, I still love it)

    I would opt for a glossy white like on the ASUS G50-VT. There are also some excellent modded white Alienwares floating around..
