    Fellas,

I am looking for some feedback here. And perhaps it will give everyone a clearer picture of the M17. As for me, I have a few extra bucks and I am planning on "fixing up" my M17.

    Coaxial
What can you do with this?

    eSATA
I don't know what the max speed is here, but much lower than FireWire for sure. I can think of a couple of things to do here. An extra hard drive obviously, maybe a SSD. But what else?

    VGA
Well, not much else aside from second monitor or so, no?

    HDMI
    HDTV output only?

    FireWire A
Again, extra HD, maybe a SSD. But really, what else is there?

    Kensingston Lock
I don't know how to use this. It will be nice if someone is using this lock and gives details.

    Optical Audio
    Hmmm, examples?

    7-in-1 Media card reader
This I don't get. I mean, I get it, but what are the 7 types? Could an 8 GB Micro SDHC fit without adapter?

    ExpressCard Slot
This L-Shaped 54mm is really where my eye is after I found out that the M17 can boot from this little jewel. I called AW and they verified this. Speed 100MB they say. I forget the BIOS name but it is something like PCMI something HD. Pick this option and it should boot from it. I plan on putting Mac OS X Leopard on a SSD. 30GB should do the trick (After I manage to fix the Leopard install of course...). If not, it seems extremely useful for storing very important information as a SSD.

    Ideas?

Oh, before I forget, what's with that "reset" button next to the hard drive? Reset what?

    http://www.rkcomputer.net/downloads/photos/RKC-1756/index.html

here is some pictures of rkcomputers version of the ocz whitebook. same thing just different logo.

    esata is 3.0gb/s
the hdmi is video and audio
coaxial is for sound. 7.1 speakers max
the lock is if you have a special cord that fits in you can tie it to a table or something that can't be easily moved so you can leave it for a minute or two and be ok.

    HDMI

    FireWire A
cameras and other devices that need to sync

So that reset button is just like a reboot?

Im guessing you would use that when it freezes?

why not just use power button?

    Cool.

Yeah, but you mean to factory settings or just like picking Restart from the menu?
