    Hey Guys, as promised my M17 is here today and here are my initial thoughts

    Build

    Solid and feels good, heavier than other laptops, doesn't get anywhere near as hot on lap as other laptops do. They high lighted keyboard is good although as widely reported the light is uneven, only a small gripe but one all the same. The screen is pixel perfect not a dead pixel in sight.

    Performance

    well everything at stock I have scored 11500 in 3dmark06 with better drivers and a bit of tweaking I feel confident I can improve on this.

    I have tried CoD5 as it was available to me right away and previously was limited to 1200x1024 and medium settings with the m9700 everything maxed out 4xAA and 1920x1200 and not a frame stutter in sight. Much improved!

    Screen,

    Pixel perfect, so so sharp, I had the high res on the M9700 so I knew what to expect but this is even better

    Overall?

    very very pleased with it for the cash, will be benching some more games etc later on it, if there is anything you do fancy me trying just let me know
