I just bought a fan/heatsink combo to replace my defective fan. I was wondering, do I need to apply any thermo paste any where on the heatsink?
    I have an Alienware m5500 area-51 laptop.

    any advise will be appreciated.

    thanks,
    alienmike

it's better if you just use a good 17W/mk heatpad if it's not a cpu heatsink...
