Hi all,
my built in webcam only seems to be detected by windows when the lid of my m15x is very nearly closed, which obviously means it's useless right now. Does anyone know if it would be an easy thing to fix? I imagine it would require unscrewing some bits and reseating a connection inside? Does the webcam just have a wire leading down to the motherboard or will this be something more serious? Thanks for any help!

Well if you are technically skilled, you can do it yourself, otherwise it would be better to have it repaired by a skill tech....

I believe the webcam connection runs with the LCD Inverter cable connection.
Here's how to reseat the LCD Inverter Cable -
runs very close..
it defintely sounds like its loose which is why when you open it it unplugs it -
OK, I might try this today. Removing the keyboard, and seeing whats loose in the area.
