The only new Intel X9000 processors I've been able to find for sale are from http://www.grassrootscomputers.com/..._X9000/FF80576ZG0726M/partinfo-id-349485.html
I called them up and he said it was new from Intel but its not a boxed retail version its a bulk order version that doesnt come with any box, fan, and what not. My question is if I baught one of these processors will the fan on my T8100 thats currently in my m15x work with the X9000. Also has anyone heard or dealt with this grassrootscomputers.com people or are there any other stores I could purchase this processor from that are more well known?

the fan you have now should work. as for the site, i guess you could also by from ebay if you want the the "guarantee" of a power seller.
