    My M17x will be shipping soon with an i5, is it possible/ easy to upgrade the processor to an i7?

    Depends on what you decide to upgrade to (620, 720, 820 or 920) and also what sort of work you do on your laptop. Will you be primarily gaming or do you do a lot of encoding?

    Most people are going with the 720 because they feel its the best bang for the buck. It would probably be much cheaper for you to cancel and reorder with an i7 than to upgrade it yourself.

    well im getting the 620m cause i dont need the quad core and was curious as to how it would perform with the gtx 260m in actual games.

    i know im getting a m15X but the same thing applies for what you are going to be using it for depends on what you should pick for a proc. its all about what you need it for

    Honestly I am not 100% sure I am gonna keep it and I haven't even received it yet. I had a buyer lined up but he dropped out on me. I was just curious about upgrading to an i7.
